As I pointed out in my fist post about this, the math does not add up and rules of order were not followed. I was correct at 1am. Chaos indeed.
According to party secretary Chris Green, because Thursday night’s vote to suspend the rules was not met by a two-thirds majority, the rules were not actually suspended.
It looks like the only recourse is to issue a new call and do this all over again. The sooner the better IMHO.
There is a lot out there about this story. I would suggest checking out SWAC Girl and Yankee Phillip for insight and links. It seems they have the best info.
For irrelevant posts from irrelevant people I suggest the Whackjobs. Nothing politically substantial there, but reading them as they try to jump on this subject is very amusing.
