Gov McDonnell Restores Mine Safety Money that Tim Kaine Cut
McDonnell's office has now announced he will also be restoring $750,000 in funding for safety inspections of Virginia mines conducted by the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy. DMME was one of several state agencies that took a 15 percent cut to its budget in the spending plan submitted in December by Gov. Tim Kaine (D) before he left office. McDonnell's action restores all of the money cut from the safety portion of the department.LINKGood News For Us Folks In the Coalfields!
