Wise County Virginia Minister caught bopping the bishop in department store sentenced
The former minister of a church in Big Stone Gap was found guilty yesterday of indecent exposure in connection with a February incident.
The Rev. M.C. Tolbert, 58, offered an Alford plea to the Class 1 misdemeanor in Wise County General District Court, according to Commonwealth Attorney Ron Elkins.
An Alford plea means the suspect does not admit guilt but admits there is sufficient evidence for a conviction.
Judge Larry Lewis sentenced Tolbert to 12 months in jail, with all but four days suspended. Tolbert also must pay a $1,000 fine and faces 12 months of unsupervised probation, Elkins said............Tolbert was arrested in February following an incident at a department store in Appalachia.
Town police responded to a complaint of a man masturbating in the store. According to police, the store’s surveillance tape showed multiple incidents on the same day, and a police officer said he witnessed similar behavior before confronting Tolbert. link
Well.....What can you say. They report he is now living in Georgia. Good riddance.
Oh, because I know someone will ask - He was a Methodist.
