Powell Valley Middle School Assistant Principal Ricky Dale Webb - Dope Dealer at School
I hope they throw the book at this piece of sh*t. He is facing four charges.
• Distributing Oxycontin, a Schedule II controlled substance, which is an unclassified felony punishable by up to 40 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $500,000;
• Conspiracy to distribute Oxycontin, a felony punishable by up to 40 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $500,000;
• Distributing a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property, an unclassified felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000; and
• Conspiracy to distribute Oxycontin within 1,000 feet of a school, a felony punishable by up to 40 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $500,000.
125 years in prison sounds about right to me...or a tall tree and a short rope. I think most of us that work for a living get drug tested. Why are our teachers and school officials not intensively drug tested? I mean if you drive a school bus you get tested...In my opinion if you work for the school system or have anything to do with children you should be tested. What if a kid had found his stash? This was a tragedy ready to happen.

post a commentYou sound like an intelligent man that seems to understand the civil liberties of this country. Let us not forget that a person is innocent til proven guilty. If we just start "getting a rope" for every person accused of a crime, we might as well rip the consititution into shreds. It's easy and convenient to come to assumptions based on a newspaper article. I agree these are serious allegations, however I also have seen many innocent people accused of crimes with little or no basis. I have heard very disturbing reasons as to why this man was charged. I do hope everyone ready to "hang" Mr. Webb right now, actually follows the trial. It seems there are a lot of small town vendetta's being carried out. I do know this man and he has my family's full support. I do agree that teachers should be drug tested, but more importantly, I believe in the freedoms of this country. So before you start hanging people, you may want to know all the facts of the case. Not to mention, show a little respect for his family. I know it may be hard to believe, but innocent people do get falsely accused.

Like I said earlier, innocent til proven guilty. I know that may be heard to fathom so I hope you actually tune into the trial. I think you would b very surprised how easy it is to obtain an indictment against someone. I fear that because of his position, people may have jumped the gun on this one. Either way, we are all entitled our opinion, but you may not want to believe everything you read in the paper.

I stumbled across your comment and felt obligated to reply. Yes, you would think there would have to be some kind of evidence of an exchange. However, in this case, no evidence of any exchange exists. It's shocking that someone could be "lynched" w/out any evidence at all. Thank god for the court system and I bet this case gets throwed out with prejudice. Not to mention that this guy is living with a cop's ex wife. I hope you actually follow this trial and then you will learn the importance of not hanging people in trees because of an allegation.

I actually have been present in the courtroom and am amazed that these charges haven't been dropped yet. No evidence at all and it all seems to be a result of MR WEBB dating a cop's ex wife. It's amazing that someone can get indicted with no evidence. Have some respect for the man's family and supporters in the school system. We sincerely hope you return to work next year Mr. Webb and get our school back on track. You have always been an excellent administrator and an asset to our school. I went to pvms and mr webb was the assistant principle and i must say that i believe that he did it...everytime i saw him at school he looked and acted hi.everyone knows he did it..he needs to just fess up.He is a sick man...and a perv.

Guess that's why half the school was in court supporting Mr. Webb. This is nothing but a good ole fashioned witch hunt.
Half the school was there (teachers especially) to see if their names came up and if they can expect indictments soon.
I watched this trial with an open mind and it was a joke. The commonwealth did not have one piece of evidence against this man. Just the ramblings of 4 people facing serious charges, all of which got dropped. They found one of the witnesses a week before the trial. No one's stories matched and I am amazed the judge allowed the case to continue. Mr. Webb was found NOT GUILTY of all the charges against him. The commonwealth added a possession note at the last minute and the jury fell for it. How can someone get charged for possession without any physical evidence or even a specific date? I do believe an innocent man put his faith in the judicial system and got screwed. I know the community is confused and angry at how the county handled this matter. The state had solid convictions on 4 individuals, but it seemed they had a personal vendetta against Webb. Maybe because he is dating a cop's ex wife? These witnesses should be put in jail for their crimes and should now face purgery charges for making a mockery of the court. This has to get appealed or overturned.
I guess you are referring to Mr. Bonney and his testimony. It was pretty enlightening. Not one school employee had anything negative to say about Mr. Webb. I know several teachers,staff and even the superintendant were there to support Mr. Webb and testified that he was an excellent vice principal. I do believe the central office realized that there was no evidence against Webb and there were there to protect themselves from any lawsuits. This is far from being over.
Hang in there Ricky Webb. After hearing the details of this trial, my family/friends/community/church all truly believe you are innocent and recieved an unfair verdict regarding the last minute charge. I am ashamed at how Wise County handled this issue and it's obvious that you are a victim of a personal vendetta. I don't know you personally, but I hope you fight this all the way. Wise County should have put all those witnesses behind bars and they could have put a huge dent in the drug problem in our area. Hold your head up high and this has to get overturned. This is ridiculous and we are all in shock of the justice system in Wise County. How can somebody be charged with possession with no physical evidence or even a specific date? People need to wake up and realize that this violates everything this country is about.

this is just sad though. all you people that say he's innocent, you guys are probably some off his customers and you just don't want your precious happy pills taken away. i liked ricky and i about freaked out when he was accused. but it doesnt mater if you don't sell it to kids it's still a crime. so i agree with Kilo and anyone else who thinks this is just sad.
