300 Retired Generals & Admirals Endorse McCain For President
300 retired generals and admirals from around the country are endorsing John McCain for president. The retired generals and admirals announced their support with the following letter: "We have had the honor and privilege of serving as career officers in the United States Armed Forces, and of serving shoulder to shoulder with so many of the fine young men and women who are the backbone of America's Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. It is that experience that informs our judgment that John McCain is the presidential candidate best suited to serve as America's Commander-in Chief from the day of his inauguration.

The question that this raises is why are there so many Admirals and Generals?
The Navy currently has more Admirals than it has ships.
The Air Force has more Generals than it has squadrons.
The Army has even more than the Air Force. Even the Marines have a bloated Flag Officer corps.
It is nice that all of these guys are around for retirement so McCain can get their endorsement, but every one of those flag officers gets over $70,000 in retirement pay.
Our military is top heavy. We could cut the number of flag offers in every service by eighty per cent and still have flag officers to spare.
It would still be impressive if McCain was endorsed by hundreds of Captains and Colonels, but those titles would cost us far less in retirement pay.
The only question this raises is show me 100 officers of any rank endorsing chicken hawk Obama
Well JTB...I expected a better response from your whining ass.
I have one question for your silly ass. How many military bases or families has obama spoke to?
How many VFW or national guard units has he spoke to?
I await your chickenshit answer.
