A frantic mother called 911 to report her 3 year old child missing. Police searched and found the boy a half mile from his home.
The little boy was unharmed and was accompanied -- and aggressively protected -- by the family's two pet dogs, especially a purebred pit bulldog named "Baby." Also accompanying David was the family's Jack Russell terrier, "Sassy."(LINK)

post a commentPit Bulls are an infamously dangerous and unpredictable breed, known to attack owners, family members and neighbors, or just anyone who happens along at the wrong time.
The Pit Bull breed is especially unpredictable when it has grown older. As the dogs age, they seem to lose the ability to regulate their response to stimulus from humans. It is at this age when many Pits turn on masters, and family members. When running free in packs, Pit Bulls have attacked and maimed or killed children and the elderly, with a recent case occurring in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
The fact that they can sometimes be a loyal dog, is outweighed by their unpredictable, highly violent behavior.
Owning a Pit Bull in the face of the preponderance of evidence of the breed's dangerous, unpredictable behavior is an overt, anti-social act.
The breed has already been outlawed in some countries as a "dangerous breed" and should be eliminated here in the USA. If a ban cannot be achieved, then owners should be required to carry $1 million in liability coverage on Pit Bulls and similar attack breeds. In addition to insurance, owners must be held accountable when their dogs attack our citizens, up to the level of manslaughter and murder, when the dogs maim and kill.
