Thoughts on McDonnell, Bolling, and Cuccinelli
My friends know I was dreading a showdown between McDonnell and Bolling. We now don't have to worry about that. SWAC Girl says it best-
"Thank you, Lt. Governor Bolling, for taking one for the team, working to try and unite this fractured Republican Party. With two excellent candidates, it was going to be a difficult decision for many throughout the state. This has opened the door for everyone to support each candidate 100%, run them as a ticket, and win back the governor's mansion."
Indeed. Everyone knows I like Bill Bolling. He is SWVA and understands the coal industry. He is most definitely the best public speaker in the party and a good conservative. McDonnell could be the strongest candidate the GOP has offered in many years. Conservative, military background, and sharp as a tack. Now we can add Cuccinelli to the ticket. Despite what the critics say, the GOP is in great shape for 2009. There are some worried democrats out there today.
