John McCain Reaching Out To Conservatives - I am right here John..Sign the Pledge

SWAC Girl has a great post up , The Morning After. Her post tells of the problems a McCain led GOP is facing. She also addresses the true heartfelt concerns conservatives have with John McCain. Her writing mirrors my thoughts.

"Conservatives are not happy because of what McCain believes in including buying into the liberal global warming hoax, opposing the marriage amendment, opposing ANWR to drill for oil in Alaska, for closing Guantanamo and moving those prisoners to America, against waterboarding terrorists, for social security for illegal aliens, supporting criminal trials for terrorists.... John McCain has some convincing to do with the conservatives in the Republican Party."

Indeed. McCain faces the same problem Hillary has. They are both polarized candidates. You either love or hate them. We now see that Democrats are flocking to Obama while Republicans are still voting in large numbers against McCain. The Democrats will unite no matter which candidate gets the nomination. That is a fact. I wish I could say that about the GOP.

John McCain has to reach out to conservatives or he will lose. I don't know if he can reach far enough to inspire me. A good way to start would be for him to sign the NO Amesty Pledge. Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul both have signed the pledge and McCain joining them would go a long way since his past is full of amnesty support. McCain's website does not address immigration. Huckabee has a nine point plan and it begins with building the border fence. McCain's page is a crock of nothing. No mention of the fence or not supporting amnesty again. Sign the pledge Sen McCain!
