What a Holiday
I believe that all birth days are a celebration. What would the world be if that one day that you were presented to this earth as a blessing or a disturbance had not happened. Each of us has made an impact on this earth and upon others around us, both for good and for bad. What others have learned because of us may not have happened any other way.
That said, if was so nice to spend this week celebrating Carl the man and Carl the child who had a most dubious beginning. Through a lifetime of stories I know he has had an impact on many people, and in turn I have learned the impact they have had upon his life.
Carl, I saw you more relaxed and at ease this week then ever before- must be good cigars and bourbon, and of course the good cooking and company. It is my one last birthday (birthday week) wish that you continue to impact not only my life for many years to come but that you have a very positive impact on the world around you. I believe that you have much yet to share with this world.
