Same Old Story – BNN is mean to Democrat/icks???

A while back a few lefty bloggers cried the Virginia Blog Carnival was unfair, bias, controlled by the ODBA yada yada. The ensuing arguments had the Richmond Democrat/ick wanting to file a lawsuit against me. Now the rage has turned to BNN. Same argument, same story, some of the same bloggers. It would be funny if it was not so pitiful. I will admit I am loving this! To read that Ben is mad about blog rankings when in fact he ranks blogs on his site and offers blogads to make a dollar is amusing. Come on Ben....Lowell is mad also and both want to be removed from the BNN system. Of course the Richmond Democrat/ick has thrown his power blog into the mix. I am sure threats of lawsuits and name calling will soon follow. Has JC called you a chicken shit yet Dave? If not, give it time. I wonder why this complaining always comes from the left?

From what I can tell some of the complainers are very confused about how the BNN rankings work. Some think the user rankings are involved. A quick check of the user rankings compared to the BNN rankings will prove that false. Rating a blog 10 everyday will not push it to the top. Rating a blog 1 will not take it out of the running. Click away my friends but I am afraid you will be disappointed with the results. BNN was clear that his system was secret and made up of algorithms. BNN provides a service to all bloggers. To loosely quote some Bloggers for Waldo – If you don't like it don't visit or start your own damn site and rate us the way you see fit.

The big question is can we as bloggers say who can link to us? I would proceed with caution on this subject because you may not like where this ends up. I enjoy the fact that blogs can link to another blog or newspaper to judge, quote, slam, give credit or discredit as they see fit. That is what we do whether it be by posting, rankings, or ratings. I say get JC to file some papers and lets get the courts involved and lose the freedom we all have now on these wonderful internets. It's not like there is not already many a person or organization that wants to do just that. I say hell yeah lets help them out! Think about how silly this looks to most adult readers.

In my opinion the SWAC bloggers are spanking the left. The whining is the proof. While the whackjobs and others are Dependant on NLS or RK for their existence, most of the other blogs are not.
