KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A five-year-old girl is under care at a Knoxville hospital after she was accidentally shot by her father -- a Loudon County Sheriff's officer.
Officials say James Michael Powers was cleaning his duty weapon for inspection when it discharged last night, wounding his daughter in the abdomen.(LINK)
