Come On Down and Take a Walk
Here we go again. The headline reads "Dickenson County teams up with KY counterpart to lure tourists." The economically dead Dickenson County is building hiking trails that will link with bustling Millard Ky and bring tourists in by the thousands. Maybe they can connect the trail to the super successful Ralph Stanley Museum. More tax dollars well spent.
Keith Viers is the Dickenson County administrator. He says trails are proven features that help spur economic development.
Note to Dickenson County: Fire Viers. The Feckless Rick Boucher's name is missing from this, but I expect he is in some way involved. How long are we going to buy into this logic? The only benefit this project will invoke will concern a handful of smelly hippies getting lost or growing pot along the trails.
