Was Jim Webb Jewbaiting?
Shaun Kenney addresses the current uproar. Jewbaiting or not, calling anyone Antichrist is wrong. Antichrist in its simplest definition is "a enemy of Christ." Adding the words "of outsourcing" is oxymoron. Webb's comment did not appeal to Christians if that was his hope. I discussed this comment today at church and no one was impressed. It is offensive and hate filled. To use it during a political debate shows just how out of control the candidate is. Jim Webb told his opponent to shut up and called him the Antichrist. The only thing more offensive being the blogs and bloggers trying to justify Webb's words. There is no justification for it. It is hate speech and many blogs are endorsing it.
Update- NLS has this post up. Ben is “pissed” about Shaun's post and others. I can see his point. I want to be clear about this. My post concerns my opinion of any candidate from any party that calls someone the Antichrist. I think it is uncalled for, childish, and hateful. From what I have read on blogs and in comments, calling people the Antichrist is a popular thing. It is not for me. This could be because of the area I am from. I have a feeling that if you called anyone that around here you would get a fat lip-You would from me anyway.
