The Sec of the Commonwealth and Labor
I have kept silent long enough on the subject of Sec of the Commonwealth and what he does. While it is true that the appointee does not make policy, he does help appoint people to serve on Boards or Commissions. Many have cried it is not labor related. That is a false statement. If you look here or click here you will see all the boards and commissions, and you will see many are labor related. I don't want a union hack appointing positions to the board of Mineral and Mining Examiners for example. Give it a read and you will see labor has a lot to do with this position. I wonder why most say it does not concern labor? If he gets say in who is appointed to these important boards that do concern labor, how can they say that? I applaud the house for this move. There is a better person for this job. Move on.
Will has his opinion here. Bearing Drift's take can be found here. Both are good reads.
