Grizzly Man
I am looking forward to watching Grizzly Man tonight. Tune in for the premiere on Discovery Channel on Friday, Feb 3, at 8 p.m. ET/PT and for the encore on Saturday, Feb 4, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
This is must watch TV for me. The story of Timothy Treadwell goes like this
Timothy Treadwell, tireless and passionate advocate for grizzly bears, was killed in October 2003 by the beast he so fervently adored and tried to protect. His remains, along with those of his girlfriend, Amie Huguenard, were discovered near their campsite in Alaska's Katmai National Park and Preserve. They had been mauled and devoured by a grizzly, the first known victims of a bear attack in the park. The bear suspected of the killings was later shot by park officials.
The director Werner Herzog uses Tim's own footage and the way he is portrayed is unique. If you have time tonight give this movie a look. When I read about Treadwell a fews years ago I knew what the outcome would be. Tonight we get to see his story. If you watch, let me know what you think about it.
