Local News-CGI-AMS.Warner cuts deal with company famous for outsourcing jobs.
I received this email about the CGI-AMS jobs in Russell County
"Did you read the editorial in Saturday's Bristol paper about CGI-AMS.
The guy went to the job fair and found that the only thing the people would admit was they intended to hire most employees outside the region, paying far below industry standards.
According to the Pasadena Star this company had a similar deal with California, then outsourced the jobs to India. The guy asked about use of H1b visas to bring in foreign workers and the representative got agitated. These type visas are used to bring in cheap foreign labor to replace American workers. He said from their reaction he didn't think they have any intention of hiring 300 people."
Thanks Mat. You should blog!
Mat is a buddy of mine, more like a brother. He is the son my parents always wanted. We had talked about the CGI jobs Warner touted and our feelings that that something was not right about it during his last visit. We talked about how our tax dollars were used to bring this company to the area. How we both believed locals could not fill the jobs.I posted about that here. After reading about CGI-AMS outsourcing jobs I am even more discouraged. Warner tosses us another bone after his own party slammed CGI-AMS in California. I guess we will continue to build that horse trail here......
