Blogger Julie Whitt passes away 12/19/2005

The SWVA Law Blog informs me that a blogger from SWVA has passed away. Julie Whitt of Marion died 12/19/05 of complications from a recent lung transplant. Her family is in my prayers. Her blog was Breath of Heaven. You can also learn more about her here.

I had never read Julie's blog untill tonight. I went back and read every post she made and I will say is powerful to read. I was moved by her post on Terri Schiavo and living wills. You can read it here. Julie posted this on 10/18/05 about her up coming surgery:

"The way I see it, I can't lose. Surviving this
transplant means a whole new life for me. Dying from
this transplant means a whole new life for me. I've
never been so at peace with something. This is my
time to shine, so whether that light shines on Earth
or in Heaven, may God's will be done"

If you take the time to read her blog, you will know what it means as I write: Julie danced all day today and she ran every step at Red Rock and never lost her breath. There is no doubt she is in Heaven. I am sure her family is in need and her husband Matt is crushed. Send up a prayer for them.
