Virginia Politics- Two big stories
First over at Bacons Rebellion (who does not link Spark It Up!!!) we have this post:
- If a Virginia newspaper editor works for one candidate in a campaign, shouldn't that newspaper publish the fact in their paper? Isn't it unethical to not have full disclosure? Especially if the editor is one of their editorial page editors? posted by James Atticus Bowden
Then in the comments he names Gordon Morse and the Daily press. Mr. Bacon comments:
- At 7:14 AM, Jim Bacon said... Jim, If what you imply is true, then I would consider it to be a very serious ethical charge -- and a legitimate topic for Bacon's Rebellion. Now that you've put Gordon Morse's name into the public domain, I think you need to either back up your proposition with hard facts or retract it with an apology.
We await the results. Next we have Chad's post called Tim Kaine and campaign finance law. Chad has an interesting take on Kaines fundraising.
- "Aaaah, Kaine’s leftist buddies with MoveOn.org have been down this road before (and aren’t Clark and Dean big Kaine supporters?). Since MoveOn endorsed Kaine’s candidacy recently, perhaps they can advise him of their experience with accepting international donations."
These two articles are hot! I would wager we hear more about them in the near future.
