Twas the day after Christmas

Well the presents are all opened and the company has left. The leftovers are wrapped and waiting to be ate this week. The cat is full on leftover turkey bones and pickings. He has slept all day, except for attacking Shannon, which is a morning ritual.

I have a bunch of Gmail invites...email or leave a comment if you need one. I will will post 12 tomorrow, and each day after till I am out.

I have spent the day watching football. Reggie White has passed away at age 43...that is the big story today, bigger than any of the games I have watched. I did watch a little of the movie "E" on ESPN about the late Dale Earnhardt. At the risk of hate mail I will say I was not impressed with him. His driving was good, but Nascar is a team sport. He had the car and team that gave him the chance to win. From what I saw in this movie, he was self centered and ego driven. As a NASCAR fan I always thought he was reckless...live by the sword, die by the sword.

What about the earthquake..Yahoo says " The world's most powerful earthquake in 40 years triggered massive tidal waves that slammed into villages and seaside resorts across Asia on Sunday, killing more than 3,900 people in six countries.

Tourists, fishermen, homes and cars were swept away by walls of water up to 20 feet high that swept across the Bay of Bengal, unleashed by the 8.9-magnitude earthquake centered off the west coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

In Sri Lanka, 1,000 miles west of the epicenter, more than 2,150 people were killed, the prime minister's office said. Indian officials said as many as 1,130 died along the southern coast. At least 408 died on Sumatra from floods and collapsing buildings. Another 168 were confirmed dead in Thailand, 42 in Malaysia and 2 in Banglades"

And this is amazing " "All the planet is vibrating" from the quake, said Enzo Boschi, the head of Italy's National Geophysics Institute. Speaking on SKY TG24 TV, Boschi said the quake even disturbed the Earth's rotation."

Well it is back yo work for me now. I may get new years off. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine was tops!! I got what I needed and I hope everyone enjoyed what I gave them. The most important thing was to be surrounded by my family and friends. This was my 2nd Christmas with Shannon and the self proclaimed ruler of the house..The cat Sir Boobie Doo..I love them both and they are Gods gift to me daily,and I hope for many more holidays.
