Why are David Foster and Ken Cuccinelli Afraid of the Virginia Gun Owners Coalition? John Brownlee Scores 100%
I'm sorry Foster and Cuccinelli fans, but I expect more from a GOP candidate when it comes to my right to pack heat. From the VGOC - (Emphasis mine)
It is official. The only candidate for state-wide office for attorney general to answer the VGOC survey is John Brownlee. Mr. Brownlee received a 100% score on his survey. David Foster and Ken Cuccinelli refuse to answer the Virginia Gun Owners Coalition Survey.
Mr. Foster was courteous enough to reply that he needed to study the issues more. While we don’t accept that as an excuse, we acknowledge his reply. Mr. Cuccinelli may not have answered to avoid discussing his past support of civil fines to terrorize gun owners whose guns are used in crimes by people who enter or live in their homes and steal their guns.
It has also come to my attention that Mr. Cuccinelli, who has been a friend to gun owners in the past, may not support Vermont or Alaska Carry. Neither Vermont or Alaska infringe concealed carry by requiring a permit for law-abiding citizens to carry concealed. The danger of the permit system is that it is the foundation of gun owner registration and eventual confiscation.
Email Mr. Cuccinelli at ken@cuccinelli.com with a cc: to president@vgoc.org with the following message. “Since you won’t answer the VGOC survey, please tell me whether you support so-called negligent storage legislation and whether or not you support Vermont and Alaska carry”. Also email John Brownlee at john.brownlee@cox.net with a cc: to president@vgoc.org and congratulate him on his 100% score on the VGOC survey.
This is a huge issue for me and many Virginians. I will not support anyone that is afraid to go on the record about 2nd Amendment issues. This will be a issue for voters in SWVA and Brownlee will shine like a star. Sign up to support the one candidate who is on the record about our guns - John Brownlee.

I will also be watching to see if and how the other two respond to this...
No question about it, Brownlee is the best man for the job. Contrary to what some would have you believe, legal experience is very important to the AG's role--not just for the job itself, but also for shaping a candidate's views. Brownlee has prosecuted many gun cases, so he knows that gun control just does not work.

Why should Foster or Cuccinelli answer VGOC questionaire? Small group led by one man. First I would ask for list of names of members. Also how was the $64,000+ received for the year "07 spent by the VGOC? How much went to President of VGOC?

Nice logic there, Anonymous. It's probably advisable that you remain "anonymous" in order to avoid the embarrassment of being identified with bone-headed diatribes like the one you typed above.
Thanks for the link to the experience, Zach. It's exactly what I was looking for.
