Tim Kaine Protest
Free Republic has the details. Yes it was a small turn out of 5 or 6 protesters, but still cool to see. Timmy did ride by the protest! The chances are Kaine will veto the transportation bill. If he does this comment may prove true:
"The repubs in the House MUST come out fighting and pin the blame for it squarely on Timmy. They came out with a plan. I don't like the plan but they did it. His veto means that, despite all his protestations to the contrary, transportation is just a political football to him."
I can say that most people who I have talked with do not favor Kaine's tax raising talk. Many remember his promise to lock up the transportation fund and no tax increases. People on fixed incomes in the coalfields are very resentful of a gas tax as many of them travel great distances to the doctors in the Tri Cities.
