Spark It Up!!!: Damn...I had to read this twice...

While enjoying my coffee this morning and reading Blog Net News I was stunned to read this article by Lowell Feld. The same anti war protest I blogged about here also turned Lowell off. Lowell writes on Raising Kaine:

"this rally was organized by the Marxist-Leninist "International ANSWER" coalition (also virulently anti-Israel and likely anti-Semitic). All of which raises the question: where are the MAINSTREAM Americans, the normal Democrats, normal Independents, and normal Republicans protesting this war?"

That is a good question. It could be that the anti war crowd is not really as large as some would like us to think. The anti war support numbers are blown up by polls that ask the wrong question and a biased MSM. Maybe Americans are finally realizing that. Maybe they are listening to people like Rhonda Winfield and what she thinks about protests. Asking people if they approve of the war is not the question. We should ask them if they want to win the war and see what you get.

A new poll shows the people of Iraq are doing better than these protesters would like us to believe. Read this and this.

One in four Iraqis has had a family member murdered, says the poll by Opinion Research Business. In Baghdad, the capital, one in four has had a relative kidnapped and one in three said members of their family had fled abroad. But when asked whether they preferred life under Saddam, the dictator who was executed last December, or under Nouri al-Maliki, the prime minister, most replied that things were better for them today. Only 27% think there is a civil war in Iraq, compared with 61% who do not, according to the survey carried out last month.
By a majority of two to one, Iraqis believe military operations now under way will disarm all militias.

So as the Marxist-Leninist-Socialist-Anti Semitic-Anti War hippies protested yesterday, Iraqi's are living a better life and fight hard everyday to keep it.
