Duncan Hunter Signs Presidential Taxpayer Protection Pledge
I am glad to see this! The ATR has given Hunter a 94% rating. The article has this:
Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), a candidate in contention for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, has signed the Presidential Taxpayer Protection Pledge sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform (ATR). The Pledge commits signers to "oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses … and oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates."
The pledge is being offered to all the candidates. So far the only signers are Duncan Hunter, Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney and U.S. Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas. All Republicans.
