The Race Card???

With this release yesterday it began. It was followed by Ben and the discussion explodes into accusations of racism and dirty tricks. Lowell is trying his best to spin it, but I don't see it happening. I am amazed at why this race card was played. Yesterday, according to this guy, “Seven African American legislators, including Senator Henry Marsh, Senator Benjamin Lambert, and Delegate Lionel Spruill, today announced their endorsement of Harris Miller for U.S. Senate.”
The leaders have a big problem with Jim Webb. Damn what a battle in the comments of the blogs. Millerites calling Webbers racist, Webbers calling Millerites dirty players. It was about as much joy as this Allen fan could take.
I asked a couple questions because I did not understand (still don't) how the major endorsements of these leaders makes Miller a dirty player. I got a couple answers, but honestly they did not add up. That leaves the Webb crew no choice but to attack Marsh. Losing battle there me thinks. Don't forget Marsh is not alone in this. Webb loses this battle, even if he was Born Fighting. Webb has a lot to account for. I was one of the first to say his past would doom him. His views of Affirmative Action is just the beginning. These African American leaders not only endorsed Miller, some came down on Webb. That is the bottom line. History shows black voters support black leaders. There is no spin that will take that away. While Affirmative Action is not perfect, it has helped many gain higher education and employment. Turn out the lights Jim Webb, the party is over. The candidate with the black vote wins the primary.
What I have learned from this is the Democrats blew a great chance. They wanted a primary and got it. A few over zealous bloggers chose to support a candidate over the party. They lose. They could of scheduled debates claiming both candidates are strong. Worked in conjunction to obtain signatures and support, and better their party's position. Instead they chose sides. Webb, Webb, Webb...Democrats should look at who caused this. They glorified themselves over the Kaine victory. I wonder how special they feel now? The endorsements from seven black leaders is something you cant spin. If Miller wins, and he will, those bloggers are useless to the party because they have publicly called Miller a loser and lobbyist. They will try to save face, but I will throw their words back at them at every opportunity I get. What we have here is Webb the republican, flip flopping, could be racist vs Miller the long time democrat lobbyist....And Sen Allen is suppose to be afraid of this? Democrats...their own worst nightmare.
Meanwhile on March 27th , a true leader Sen George Allen attended the African American Leadership Summit...Where were Miller and Webb???
Others blogging about this are The Mason Conservative and Virginia Ramblings. My friends at Bearing Drift are also. Lets add Virginia Virtucon to the list.
