Jeffersonian Conservative
Kat at CatHouse Chat already has gone above and beyond to post about her adventure this morning with the Darling Munchkin and the Danville stopover for Senator George Allen. She has answered many of those questions that inquiring minds want to know about so I would suggest you just check out her post.
Kat writes that: Senator Allen began by thanking the audience and saying that he is a Jeffersonian conservative. He stated that he wants to run a positive campaign that will unite and inspire Virginians from all walks of life. He observed that voters want to vote FOR something, and that his hope is to run a motivational and fun campaign. Sen. Allen also defined "Jeffersonian conservative" by saying:
... I trust free people and free enterprise more than a meddlesome, burdensome government.
For a better understanding of what being a Jeffersonian conservative is I recommend that you check out Virginia Virtucon and their educational post wishing Thomas Jefferson a happy birthday.
Both of these bloggers are members of the ODBA and actively post on the VBC. As a matter of fact, Virginia Virtucon is doing the next Virginia Blog Carnival and the guidelines can be viewed here. Please consider submitting something- oh and tell them One Wise Girl sent you- that will get Kilo going for sure!!!
